At Real Property Management Houston, we believe in throwing great Holiday parties but more importantly believe in you making your Houston home rental a home. It doesn’t matter whether you own your home, or rent your home – it’s the place that you and your family are living and call “home”.
Here are some tips on how to throw a holiday party – from Real Property Management Houston– the leader in Property Management in Houston!
Create a music play list – Make sure to have some kind of music playing. It really doesn’t matter what the choice just have it lightly and softly playing. Play the music all the way through the party.
Set the Mood – You, the host need to be upbeat, happy and do not act stressed out. You totally set the mood so be friendly and inviting and your guests will follow. If you are feeling a bit overwhelmed, go ahead and have that adult beverage before your guests arrive to loosen up.
Plan for More – Sure, you invited 20 guests and it’s possible that some may not show up, but on that same token, some may bring a friend that you didn’t plan for. Bottom line, make a bit more food and plan for a few extras.
Make sure that your food is proper temperatures. If you are serving dip, have chilled and if you are serving warm appetizers, do put them in the oven or on a warmer prior to guests arriving. No one wants to put something in their mouth that is overly hot.
It’s all about the display – it’s good to decorate for your holiday party. Yes, iron the linens and yes, light some candles and for sure use your good china. Do not use plastic. Not for the holidays.
Don’t try and new recipe for the party. Make it a couple of weeks earlier and try it then. THEN, you know what to do to make it better and how much more you might need to make.
Enjoy your holiday party in your Houston home – Happy Holidays!
