Do you have Light Bulb confusion??? We all can be a bit confused as we stand and look at this ever growing aisle of indoor and outdoor light bulbs. Whether you are a tenant or a home owner, it’s always a good idea to know which light bulbs are best and can save you the most money. Real Property Management Houston has come up with a room by room light bulb guide to help make the right choice for your home. We have provided some helpful information and have provided our Part I of light bulbs for the Bedroom, Living Room, Bathroom and Kitchen. Part II will be posted – stay tuned.
Bedroom Lighting
In your bedroom you want warm lighting and in the morning you need a cooler brighter light to help get you awake and start your day. You might choose a dimming soft white light bulb that warms during the evening and a brighter light during the day. You might try Phillips dimmable LED Warm Glow effect bulb at Homedepot.com
Living Room
The living room in any home is where family time usually occurs. Family game night and TV watching calls for a warm, yellow light to create a cozy atmosphere. Choose a light bulb that you can dim so that when you need it to be lighter in the room, you can and dim when you need it to be.
Bathroom
Your bathroom probably already has a light bar up therefore there is more than one bulb in the bar. Normally would want a “daylight” bulb however experts say that a finding a soft white bulb can be more flattering. Who really wants to see every “blemish”??
Kitchen
The most used room in the house calls for a high quality light bulb. Light bulbs that are labeled “high quality” usually provide the most clarity. Seeing recipes and the food you are cooking is important therefore a GE Reveal Bulb not only provides a sharper detail but is also dimmable.
For part two of our Room by Room Light Bulb Guide will later follow.
